Madeleine de Souvré, better known under the name of Marquise de Sablé, discovered petit sablé in July 1670 at the court of Grand Condé. She introduced a multitude of small round cookies to the king's brother who was won over by these sweets. Le Petit Sablé was born. It is this story that we find in the good taste of our real natural Petits Sablé with pure fresh butter, always made by hand by the pastry chefs of La Sablesienne and picked up by hand.
